1. About us
Topcut Woodworx is a custom carpentry business in Cape Town, South Africa. Contact: 079 922 1359, topcutwoodworx@gmail.com.
2. Quotes and orders
You can ask for a quote on WhatsApp, by phone or through our website. A quote is valid for [QUOTE VALIDITY TBC]. Your order is confirmed when you accept the quote and pay the deposit.
3. Prices and payment
Each project is priced on its size, materials and finish. Timber prices change with grade and supplier stock, so prices are confirmed in your quote. A deposit of [DEPOSIT TBC] is due to start the build. The balance is due when the piece is finished, before delivery or collection. We accept [PAYMENT METHODS TBC].
4. Timber
Pine is a natural material. Knots, grain and colour vary, and B-grade pine has more knots by nature. These variations are not defects.
5. Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel within 48 hours of placing your order for a full refund. After 48 hours, a cancellation fee covers materials bought and work done. Custom work cannot be refunded once building has started.
6. Delivery and installation
We give you an expected completion date when you order. Delivery and installation fees are shown on your quote. Please make sure there is clear access to where the piece will go. We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers or by events outside our control.
7. Warranty
We guarantee our craftsmanship for 90 days from delivery. If a fault caused by our workmanship appears in that time, tell us and we will repair or replace the affected part. The warranty does not cover misuse, incorrect care, outdoor pieces that have not been resealed as advised, or normal wear and tear.
8. Your information
We handle your personal information as set out in our privacy policy.
9. Photos of your project
We may photograph finished pieces for our website and social media. We never show your address, your family or your name without your permission. Tell us if you would prefer we do not use photos of your project.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you accept a quote applies to your order.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
