A wooden playhouse gives children a hideout of their own in the garden. We design and build each playhouse to order in our Cape Town workshop, to suit your space and the way your children play.
Playhouses can sit on the ground or be raised on a platform. You choose the size, the roof shape, and the paint or stain colours for walls, trim and door. We can add windows, a stable door, a small veranda, a ladder or a slide, and we can link a playhouse to a jungle gym. B-grade pine is our standard timber, strong and full of character. A-grade pine has fewer knots and costs more.

Questions about playhouses
How long does a playhouse take to make?
Every playhouse is made to order, so timing depends on the size, the design and how busy the workshop is. Our current lead time is [LEAD TIME TBC], and we confirm it with your quote.
Do you deliver and install?
Yes. We deliver and install in Cape Town and surrounds, and our delivery area is [DELIVERY AREA TBC]. You can also collect from our workshop.
Will a pine playhouse last outdoors?
Pine used outdoors must be sealed, then resealed regularly to keep it protected from sun and rain. We seal with [TIMBER TREATMENT TBC] and will tell you how often to reseal. A coat of paint also needs touching up over time.
Can you build a raised playhouse with a slide?
Yes, we can raise the playhouse on a platform and add a ladder, a slide or both. Tell us the age of your children and the space you have, and we suggest a height.
How do the deposit and payment work?
We ask for a deposit of [DEPOSIT TBC] to start the build, and the balance is due on completion, before delivery or collection. Custom work is non-refundable once we have started, but you get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours of ordering.
