We build wooden pet enclosures to order in our Cape Town workshop, from rabbit hutches and dog kennels to aviaries and cat runs. Each one is sized to your animal and your space.
A hutch suits rabbits and guinea pigs, a kennel gives a dog shelter from wind and rain, an aviary gives birds room to fly, and a cat run lets indoor cats get fresh air. You choose the size, the roof and the finish. We can add a sleeping area, a run, ramps, shelves and doors you can open easily for feeding and cleaning. Talk to us about the right mesh for your pet. B-grade pine is our standard timber. A-grade pine costs more.

How long does a pet enclosure take to make?
Every pet enclosure is made to order, so timing depends on the size, the design and how busy the workshop is. Our current lead time is [LEAD TIME TBC], and we confirm it with your quote.
Do you deliver and install?
Yes. We deliver and install in Cape Town and surrounds, and our delivery area is [DELIVERY AREA TBC]. You can also collect from our workshop.
Will a pine pet enclosure last outdoors?
Pine used outdoors must be sealed, then resealed regularly to keep it protected from sun and rain. We seal with [TIMBER TREATMENT TBC] and will tell you how often to reseal. Keep bedding dry and clean out the enclosure often.
Can you build one for my type of pet?
Yes. Tell us what animal it is for, how big it is and where the enclosure will stand. We suggest a size, the mesh to use and features such as ramps or perches.
How do the deposit and payment work?
We ask for a deposit of [DEPOSIT TBC] to start the build, and the balance is due on completion, before delivery or collection. Custom work is non-refundable once we have started, but you get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours of ordering.
