Wooden Pergolas: Custom Built in Cape Town
A wooden pergola gives your patio or garden a frame for shade, climbing plants or shade cloth. We build each pergola to order from our Cape Town workshop and install it on site.
Pergolas suit patios, braai areas, pool sides and garden walkways. They can stand on their own or attach to the house. You choose the size, the beam ends and the stain or paint colour. We can talk to you about shade cloth, slatted roofs, privacy screens and trellis panels for creepers. B-grade pine is our standard timber. A-grade pine is cleaner and costs more.

How long does a pergola take to make?
Every pergola is made to order, so timing depends on the size, the design and how busy the workshop is. Our current lead time is [LEAD TIME TBC], and we confirm it with your quote.
Do you deliver and install?
Yes. We deliver and install in Cape Town and surrounds, and our delivery area is [DELIVERY AREA TBC]. You can also collect from our workshop.
Will a pine pergola last outdoors?
Pine used outdoors must be sealed, then resealed regularly to keep it protected from sun and rain. We seal with [TIMBER TREATMENT TBC] and will tell you how often to reseal.
Can the pergola attach to my house?
Yes, a pergola can attach to a wall or stand on its own. Send us photos of the space and we suggest what suits it, along with size and colour.
How do the deposit and payment work?
We ask for a deposit of [DEPOSIT TBC] to start the build, and the balance is due on completion, before delivery or collection. Custom work is non-refundable once we have started, but you get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours of ordering.
