Wooden Sensory Tables: Custom Built in Cape Town
A sensory table holds tubs of water, sand, rice or dough at a height where small children can stand and explore with their hands. We build each one to order in our Cape Town workshop.
Sensory tables suit homes, playgroups, creches and therapy rooms. You choose the height, the number and size of tub openings, and the finish. We can make the frame fit tubs you already own, add a lid so the table doubles as a flat play surface, and fit a shelf underneath for storage. B-grade pine is our standard timber. A-grade pine has fewer knots and costs more.

How long does a sensory table take to make?
Every sensory table is made to order, so timing depends on the size, the design and how busy the workshop is. Our current lead time is [LEAD TIME TBC], and we confirm it with your quote.
Do you deliver?
Yes. We deliver in Cape Town and surrounds, and our delivery area is [DELIVERY AREA TBC]. You can also collect from our workshop.
How do I look after it with all the water and sand?
Wipe up spills and dry the wood after messy play. If you use it outside, pine must be sealed and resealed, and we seal with [TIMBER TREATMENT TBC].
Can you make it fit tubs I already have?
Yes. Send us the tub measurements and we cut the openings to fit. You can also choose the height, the number of tubs and the colour.
How do the deposit and payment work?
We ask for a deposit of [DEPOSIT TBC] to start the build, and the balance is due on completion, before delivery or collection. Custom work is non-refundable once we have started, but you get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours of ordering.
