Wooden Kids' Work Benches: Custom Built in Cape Town
A kids' work bench gives young builders a sturdy place to hammer, sort and make things, just like a grown-up workshop. We build each one to order in our Cape Town workshop.
Work benches suit playrooms, garages, covered patios and classrooms. You choose the height, the length and the finish. We can add a pegboard back for hanging tools, a shelf underneath, small drawers or tubs, and hooks. Some families use it as a craft and lego station too. B-grade pine is our standard timber, strong and full of natural character. A-grade pine is cleaner and costs more.

How long does a kids' work bench take to make?
Every kids' work bench is made to order, so timing depends on the size, the design and how busy the workshop is. Our current lead time is [LEAD TIME TBC], and we confirm it with your quote.
Do you deliver?
Yes. We deliver in Cape Town and surrounds, and our delivery area is [DELIVERY AREA TBC]. You can also collect from our workshop.
How do I look after it?
Wipe it with a damp cloth and dry it off. Keep it out of strong direct sun, and if it lives outside, it needs sealing and resealing.
Can it grow with my child?
Tell us your child's age and height and we set the worktop to suit. We can talk to you about a design with a height you can adjust later.
How do the deposit and payment work?
We ask for a deposit of [DEPOSIT TBC] to start the build, and the balance is due on completion, before delivery or collection. Custom work is non-refundable once we have started, but you get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours of ordering.
