Wooden planter boxes let you grow herbs, vegetables and flowers on a patio, balcony or along a wall. We make each one to order in our Cape Town workshop, sized to your space.
Planters suit small gardens, townhouse patios, balconies and school veggie gardens. You choose the length, width, height and finish. We can build raised beds at waist height so you can garden without bending, low boxes for along a path, or tall planters for screening along a boundary wall. B-grade pine is our standard timber. A-grade pine looks cleaner and costs more.

Questions about planter boxes
How long does a planter box take to make?
Every planter box is made to order, so timing depends on the size, the design and how busy the workshop is. Our current lead time is [LEAD TIME TBC], and we confirm it with your quote.
Do you deliver and install?
Yes. We deliver and install in Cape Town and surrounds, and our delivery area is [DELIVERY AREA TBC]. You can also collect from our workshop.
Will a pine planter box last outdoors?
Pine used outdoors must be sealed, then resealed regularly to keep it protected from sun and rain. We seal with [TIMBER TREATMENT TBC] and will tell you how often to reseal. Talk to us about a liner between the soil and the wood.
Can you build raised beds at waist height?
Yes. We can build to any height that suits you, including waist-height raised beds. You also choose the length, width and colour.
How do the deposit and payment work?
We ask for a deposit of [DEPOSIT TBC] to start the build, and the balance is due on completion, before delivery or collection. Custom work is non-refundable once we have started, but you get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours of ordering.
